✨ Part 1: Tips for Making Different Types of Slime
We’ll give tailored tips by slime type. Here are a few common ones — tell me which you offer or want to include, so we can expand:
1️⃣ Basic Slime (Glue + Activator)
Use white school glue for an opaque slime, or clear glue if you want to see add-ins like glitter or confetti.
Always add activator (like borax water or saline solution + baking soda) slowly, mixing between additions to avoid over-activating.
If slime is too sticky, add a tiny bit more activator. If it’s rubbery, knead in some lotion.
2️⃣ Butter Slime
Use soft, air-dry clay (like Daiso clay) for a smooth, spreadable texture.
Add clay little by little so you don’t over-thicken.
Tip: Butter slime tends to dry out faster. Keep it in an airtight container, and if it starts to stiffen, knead in a few drops of water at a time — it’ll come back to life.
3️⃣ Fluffy Slime
Mix in shaving cream after glue and before activating for best poof.
More shaving cream = fluffier, but it won’t last as long.
Add a little baby oil to help it stretch without sticking.
4️⃣ Clear Slime
Use clear glue only and avoid over-mixing to keep it crystal clear.
Let it sit for a few days to “clear up” after making — bubbles will rise and disappear.
Wash hands before playing to keep it from clouding.
5️⃣ Crunchy / Fishbowl Slime
Mix add-ins like foam beads or fishbowl beads after slime is fully made.
If beads fall out, your slime might be too stiff — add a drop of lotion.
💫 Part 2: Tips for Revamping Old Slime
Perfect if someone’s slime got hard, sticky, or just “meh.”
🧴 Hard or Stiff Slime
Butter slime: Add a few drops of water and knead.
Other slimes: Try a drop of lotion, glycerin, or baby oil.
Go slow — you can always add more!
💦 Sticky Slime
Dip your hands in activator first.
Add tiny drops of activator, kneading between each.
For clear slime, use activator sparingly to keep it glossy.
🌬 Dry on top but okay inside?
Add a few drops of water on top, seal the container, and let it sit overnight.
Next day, knead it back together.
🌸 Lost its scent?
Add a drop or two of safe fragrance oil and knead well.
